Have your say on our gallery
A decade on from the redevelopment of Maitland Regional Art Gallery, Council is seeking community feedback to help shape the direction of the Gallery into 2025 and beyond.
Feedback will identify the community’s current needs and aspirations for their Gallery and provide an understanding as to why some people haven’t visited the Gallery, or don’t visit as often as they’d like.
Community members can contribute their thoughts through a survey which will launch this Saturday at Riverlights Multicultural Festival at The Levee Central Maitland. As part of the survey launch, Maitland Regional Art Gallery will be offering a free children’s art activity and the opportunity for attendees to provide their feedback.
Gallery Coordinator Kattie Bugeja says, ‘We want to know what the Maitland community wants and needs from their Gallery – we want to understand how we can better serve our community.
‘Whether you attend Riverlights as a local, or a visitor to Maitland, we’d love to hear from you, so look out for the purple Maitland Your Say marquee which will be located at The Levee outside Hunted.’
The online survey opens Saturday 12 October and closes Saturday 30 November. The community can also share their thoughts on the Gallery at Stockland Green Hills on Wednesday 30 October and at Rutherford Marketplace on Thursday 31 October.
On completion of the survey you can go into a draw to win a $50 gift voucher to spend in the Maitland Regional Art Gallery Shop (terms and conditions apply).
