Maitland Regional Art Gallery

Free Art January returns to Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) with a month-long festival of engaging art activities for all ages, plus six exhibitions to experience.

Participants can discover the vibrant world of colour while making prints with fruit stamps, bring their favourite bird to life in a paper and wire sculpture, write and perform their own bird-inspired poetry or learn the basics of animation.

Drop-in workshops hosted by one of MRAG’s friendly artist educators will run from 6 to 24 January between Monday and Friday, 10am to 1pm, while art lovers can fly in at any time during open hours to join in on self-directed activities.
