Nominate a deserving local for the Australia Day Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2019 Australia Day Awards within the Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year categories.
The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals who work tirelessly to enrich the community through their commitment and service to others.
Each year the awards are presented during Maitland’s Australia Day celebrations.
You can nominate a Maitland resident from a wide variety of areas including education, conservation, culture, environment, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, arts, sport, schools and any other area that contributes to the advancement or wellbeing of Maitland. Achievements which can be recognised include a single outstanding achievement in the last year or numerous achievements over many years.
For more information about the awards or for a copy of the nomination form visit Council’s website and search ‘Australia Day Awards’. Nominations close at 9.00am on Friday 22 November.
