Street Eats
The Street Eats Program opens the doors to mobile food in public places.
Following a successful Pilot program in early 2017, the Street Eats Program aims to reinforce Council's support for a vibrant and activated city.
To stay up to date with the current program and read about the participating trucks, go to My Maitland.
Mobile food offers diverse food offerings, adds a unique experience in the public domain and supports greater opportunities for community connections across the City.
Information for mobile food vendors
For all the information relating to the approval process, locations and types of operation read through the Street Eats Guidelines, approved locations map and Council's Mobile Food Vending in Public Places Policy.
You can apply for approval to operate using the Street Eats Application Form. Applicants must complete and submit a Street Eats Application form with all supporting documentation prior to final approval.
Maitland City Council's Senior Place Activation Officer, Portia Wendt is the project manager and is the first point of contact for this project. All applications should be directed to the project manager. Portia can be contacted on 02 4931 2879 or at Place.Activation@maitland.nsw.gov.au
