The Queens Wharf Masterplan was developed in 2017 in consultation with the local community and businesses. The Masterplan consists of a number of stages, many of which are reliant on land acquisition.
The first stage of the Queens Wharf Masterplan, Stage A, was completed in October 2020. Further stages will be completed in the future.
Stage A is funded by Roads and Maritime Service (New South Wales Government) under the NSW Boating Now Program and by Maitland City Council.
Stage A increased the existing amenity at Queens Wharf through:
- widening of the boat ramp
- extending the jetty/wharf
- carpark works
- footpath works
- landscaping of the site
