Exhibition Item

Following endorsement of the amended Thornton North Contributions Plan in February, it was identified that there were unintended omissions from the Recreation and Open Space Work Schedules contained within the updated Plan. Specifically, several items co-located with the proposed District Sportsground identified as item TN20 were not included.

The omitted Recreation and Open Space Items are detailed as follows:

TN12 – Local Park – Co-located with District Sportsground TN20
TN21 – Netball Courts - Co-located with District Sportsground TN20
TN22 – Netball Courts - Co-located with District Sportsground TN20
TN23 – Contributions Towards Competition Netball Courts Maitland Park
TN24 – Tennis Courts - Co-located with District Sportsground TN20
TN25 – Tennis Courts - Co-located with District Sportsground TN20
TN26 – Cricket Nets - Co-located with District Sportsground TN20
TN27 – Cricket Nets - Co-located with District Sportsground TN20

This proposed amendment to TNCP will reinstate the above items in the Recreation and Opens Space Work Schedules.

Persons wishing to comment on the Amended Plan should do so in writing. Submissions should be received by Council no later than 5:00pm on Monday 19 May 2025. Please ensure that the reasons for supporting or opposing the draft plan are clearly stated.
