PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE MAITLAND LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN 2011 TO REZONE PART LOT 310 DP 1034974, CORNER OF CHRISTOPHER ROAD AND STATION LANE LOCHINVAR.
Pursuant to Section 3.34(2)(c) and Schedule 1, Clause 4 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, notice is hereby given of the public exhibition of a Planning Proposal to amend the Maitland Local Environmental Plan 2011.
The Planning Proposal seeks to rezone the subject land for commercial/business purposes in a manner to support the residential population of the Lochinvar Urban Release Area consistent with the Lochinvar Structure Plan and Lochinvar Area Plan.
The proposal will amend the zone, minimum lot size, floor space ratio and height of building maps of the Maitland LEP 2011 to identify a B2 – Local Centre zone and associated controls.
Any future development of the site will require a development application and assessment against the provisions of the Maitland LEP 2011 and Maitland Citywide Development Control Plan 2011.
The Planning Proposal and supporting information will be on public exhibition from Monday 12th October 2020 to Monday 9th November 2020 and can be inspected at Council’s Customer Service Centre, High Street, Maitland and Council’s libraries.
The Minister for Planning and Public Spaces has issued delegation for making the Local Environmental Plan to the Council.
