Description
An application to temporarily suspend the Alcohol Free Zone (AFZ) in a number of locations in Central Maitland has been submitted to Council to aid the delivery of:
- Seasonal Mini Market - Sunday 26 September 2021, 10.00am to 2.00pm
- LIVE at The Levee - Friday 19 November 2021, 5.30pm to 9.30pm
- Seasonal Mini Market - Friday 17 December 2021, 4.00pm to 8.00pm
- LIVE at The Levee - Friday 17 December 2021, 5.30pm to 9.30pm
- LIVE at The Levee - Friday 21 January 2022, 5.30pm to 9.30pm
- Seasonal Mini Market - Sunday 24 April 2022, 10.00am to 2.00pm.
- 2021/2022 Seasonal Mini Markets
Part of Council’s The Levee Marketing and Activity Plan, a series of seasonal Mini Markets are set to take place on over the current financial year to encourage the community to visit The Levee and support the businesses within Central Maitland.
Up to twelve stalls will be to set up along the southern side of The Levee Shared Zone. It is anticipated these stalls comprise of:
- three alcoholic beverage providers,
- three food stalls and one food truck and
- up to six stalls selling fresh produce, merchandise or locally made goods.
Proposed locations to temporarily suspend AFZ:

- The Levee Shared Zone (High Street) between Elgin Street and Bourke Street
- Bulwer Street north of Dransfield Lane.
Date and times of proposed suspension:
Sunday 26 September 2021– 10.00pm - 2.00pm
Friday 17 December 2021 – 4.00pm to 8.00pm
Sunday 24 April 2022 – 10.00am to 2.00pm
- LIVE at The Levee at Coffin Lane
As detailed in Council’s The Levee Marketing and Activity Plan, LIVE at The Levee takes place on the third Friday of the month to promote the night time economy of The Levee.
LIVE at the Levee will be held in Coffin Lane west of Bourke Street on the 18 November and 17 December 2021 and 21 January 2022 between 5.30pm and 9.30pm.
It is anticipated that LIVE at The Levee at Coffin Lane will comprise of:
- one alcoholic beverage provider
- one food truck provider
- live music and
- additional lighting and styling
