Aqua Fitness programs

Aquafit

Aquafit is a program focused on enhancing cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance. The water adds resistance and support for a great challenge with minimal joint strain.

It doesn’t matter about your age, ability or experience, Aquafit is an inclusive activity suitable for everyone. Aquafit classes are held by our qualified aqua instructors throughout the week at Maitland Indoor Pool.

Sessions go for 60 minutes and bookings are essential.

Aqua Bike

Aqua cycling helps with joint support by utilising the water’s buoyancy and provides protection for those who have special medical concerns such as arthritis.

The resistance is created by four paddle wheels and also increasing RPMs through acceleration which is a key part in aquatic conditioning. Additional challenges can be met by a change in seat positions, intervals or power pull techniques.

You must bring and wear your own aqua gym shoes to participate. Sessions go for 30 minutes.

Please note that numbers are limited to ten (10) people per class, and bookings are essential.
