Open daily, 8.15am - 3.45pm (all customers must be off-site by 4pm. Open status is weather permitting)

Occasionally extreme weather forces us to close the tip face. Check our live updates if you're unsure of the current open status.

Rules of entry

All visitors to the tip must abide by the following rules:

  • Enclosed footwear must be worn onsite
  • Follow the speed limit and please drive slowly
  • Pets and children must remain in your vehicle
  • You must not remove or take materials from the facility
  • No smoking
  • Your load must be covered.

Bookings

You do not need to make a booking when visiting the Facility, unless you are disposing of asbestos or dead animals.

Environmental monitoring

As part of the Protection of the Environment legislation, we are required to hold an Environmental Protection Licence. The licence sets out conditions in relation to pollution prevention and monitoring, implementation of best practice and cleaner production by means of re-use and recycling. The details of this licence are as follows:

Premises: Mount Vincent Road Waste Landfill Facility, 109-110 Mount Vincent Road, East Maitland NSW 2323.

Landfill gas is monitored on a monthly basis, while landfill water is monitored quarterly, with extra parameters in the annual analysis. Both surface and subsurface samples are taken.

Pollution Incident Response Management Plan

Licensees are required to prepare and implement a Pollution Incident Response Management Plan for each licensed activity, in accordance with the requirements set out in Part 5.7A of the Protection Of the Environment Operations Act 1997.
