Walking trails

Maitland Park

The walking path around Maitland Park is a flat path suitable for prams, cyclists and easy walking. The distance of the loop around the park is 1.8km.

Walka Water Works

There are multiple walking trails around Walka Water Works. The walk around the lagoon is approximately 3km, while the loop around the lagoon and the bush trail through the reserve is approximately 4.8km.

The trail and bush track are a gravel surface, so some prams will find the bush track a little difficult. There is ample parking available and kangaroos can often be seen around the reserve. Remember no dogs are allowed at Walka.

Cycleways

Maitland Park

Maitland Park provides a 3m wide shared pathway that loops 1.8km around the parameter for everyone to access and enjoy.

There is also a children's bike path located beside the playground area in Maitland Park which encourages road safety education.
