Walking
Walking is one of the most popular physical activities undertaken by Aussies. It's free, easy, and can be done almost anywhere. We are also lucky to have two dedicated walking trails at Maitland Park and Walka Water Works.
The walking path around Maitland Park is a flat path suitable for prams, cyclists and easy walking. The distance of the loop around the park is 1.8km.
The walking trail around Walka Water Works lagoon is approximately 3km. The loop around the lagoon and the bush trail through the reserve is approximately 4.8km. The trail and bush track are a gravel surface, so some prams will find the bush track a little difficult. There is ample parking available and Kangaroos can often be seen around the reserve, but remember no dogs are allowed at Walka.
