Public Land

If you see rubbish or waste dumped in a public place that isn’t a waste facility, let us know and our officers can investigate.

Private Land

If you are aware of rubbish or waste dumped illegally on private land, please contact the NSW Police Assistance Line on 131 444.

Penalties for dumping illegally can be up to $250,000 for individuals, $1 million for corporations and on the spot fines of up to $5,000.

Littering from vehicles

Litter is anything unwanted that has been thrown, blown or left in the wrong place. If you witness litter disposed from a vehicle, you can report it using the EPA's Online Reporting Portal.

Penalties can be up to $2,200.
