We're making a change to our front desk operating hours
We’re adjusting our face to face opening hours to better meet the needs of our community.
Starting next week, on Monday 29 April 2024, the Maitland Administration Centre’s front desk will operate from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Phone and online chat channels will remain unchanged and open from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
A broader uptake of online customer touchpoints – such as our new customer relationship management tool MyCouncil – means our community is changing the way it engages with Council.
Over the last nine months, face to face interactions at the front desk have been few in number. Reducing our hours at the front desk will free up more staff to operate our phone lines during peak times. More staff during peak times means fewer calls dropped, shorter wait times and better outcomes for our community.
