Supporting local business
We are here to empower and support local businesses to foster new partnerships and establish connections with essential entities required for the growth of your business.
Newsletter
Each month we distribute an e-bulletin called Business Matters to customers and other local business operators, covering relevant news, industry updates, what's on for business, grants and funding, as well as blog articles with advice and simple strategies to help business owners.
We also highlight local stories and drive campaigns, events and initiatives that celebrate Maitland as a great place to live, visit and invest.
Business Advice
Free business support services are available regularly at the Maitland Administration Centre.
An advisor from The Business Centre is available every Friday to provide expert advice on growth strategies, operational improvements, funding options, digital marketing and more.
Digital marketing support is also offered on the first Wednesday of each month through Digital Solutions, covering everything from enhancing your online presence to optimising websites and boosting social media engagement.
To book your session, contact these providers directly.
Small Business Month
Celebrating and supporting small business is important to Maitland City Council.
Small business owners need a diverse set of skills to effectively manage their business. However, when it comes to ‘selling’ themselves and their business, they often find it overwhelming to get their story across the way they want it, especially when facing a crowd, a camera or the media. Gain insights from fellow local business operators regarding their branding, online visibility, resilience and team support in our business highlight videos.
