Cr Ben Worth

Cr Ben Worth was born and raised in Maitland, undertaking his schooling first at Ashtonfield Public School followed by Maitland Grossmann High School.

Having played for local rugby league, basketball, netball and hockey clubs over the years, Ben is an ardent sportsperson and supporter of the East Maitland Griffins. 

Ben’s passion for sport is reflected in his commitment to forging fantastic outdoor spaces across Maitland, and connecting the community through health, wellbeing and recreation. 

This is Ben’s first term on council and, as the youngest voice in the chamber, Ben says he is looking forward to ‘being a strong, relevant and relatable voice for the young people of Maitland’.

‘I love Maitland’s potential for growth,’ Ben says. ‘I love the history and the way we continue to respect and build on that heritage.’
